So many designers have taken a gamble on bright color trends on the Spring/Summer 2021 runways.

Maybe you haven’t given much attention as to which fashion designers are glass-half-full kinds of people. Still, the collections for Spring/Summer 2021 — accidentally or not — may be a pretty great sign of who’s seeming optimistic these days. Think of some color like pinks with a punch or the cleanest shades of Green and maybe a gentle pastel yellow. These aren’t the kind of hues you correlate with doom and grief. There’s more significance to why so many designers have taken that gamble in the Spring/Summer 2021 runways upon more intimate examination. Specialists sure think so.

This season’s eye-catching tones are thanks partly to influential fashion designers’ digital formats to highlight their spring 2021 fashion trends. When observed through a Television screen, vivid colors, voluminous silhouettes, and striking prints were greatly more impactful than minimalist neutrals.

Though the coronavirus-made face masks are a must-have accessory for the season to come, these color trends in fashion will add an uplifting spatter of color to your 2022 wardrobe.

Marigold Yellow

When we questioned the inspiration for their spring collections, designers encouragingly looked forward. The marigold yellow big on the spring runways not only showcased designers’ hope for the tomorrow but recalled loungewear-laded viewers of the joy of getting dressed. Illuminating a bright yellow color trend is one of Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2021.

The warm yellow hue brightened Etro, Marques’Almeida, Prada, Richard Malone, and Tory Burch. At Miu Miu, the golden hue was joined with vibrant shades like red, orange, and caramel brown. Marigold yellow dresses at Altuzarra and Alberta Ferretti left us daydreaming of bright sunny days to come. The daring shade was also a popular color preference for spring’s hottest jewelry, footwear, and accessories.

Sky Blue

After a year of being stuck inside due to coronavirus restrictions in hard-hit areas like New York and Milan, artists brought renewed inspiration from the out-of-doors. A sky blue reminiscent of a clear summer day drew a breath of pure fresh air to streetwear and comfortable tailoring. At Boss, Ferragamo, and Fendi, monochrome blue looks walked the runways, accented with gorgeous pops of pink, yellow, and orange footwear and handbags. The sky blue tone was seen at Hermes, JW Anderson, and Tom Ford.

Other fashion designers like Burberry, Marine Serre, Rokh, and Versace chose a richer medium blue or teal. Shades of light blue also made their entrance into tie-dye prints at Dior and scarf prints at Rodarte.

Mint Green

While there’s nothing innovative about pastels for spring, the mint green color on the spring 2021 runways felt pristine as ever. After seasons overfilled with neon colors, the softened Green was a delightful sight.

Mint green showed its face at Armani, Boss, Ferragamo, Coperti, Miu Miu, Alberta Ferretti, and even more. At Max Mara, Ulla Johnson, and Tibi, cool menthol green was used for puff sleeve jackets and dresses. When worn in voluminous monochrome looks, the peaceful shade made a significant influence.

Mint. Aquamarine. Avocado. Pistachio. Seafoam. Moss Call it what you will; this fashion color trend will everywhere come spring.

Buttercream

In a season packed with bright splashes of color, time-tested neutrals like cream and khaki needed an equally colorful update. This season, yellow-tinted buttercream has won its rightful position in our spring and summer wardrobes.

The buttery cream color added a layer of class to crystal-embellished evening wear at Simone Rocha and Lanvin. Also, designers like Fendi, Jacquemus, Michael Kors, and Nanushka, classic khaki items were reworked in yellow-tinged tan. At designers like Dion Lee and Prada.

Cherry Red

Cherry red once again returned to the Spring/Summer 2021 runways after obtaining a primary color trend for Fall/Winter 2019. During the previous season, designers energized the runway with monochrome red expressions. This spring, Fendi, Givenchy, David Koma, Sacai, Mara Hoffman, and Wales Bonner did the same.

The scarlet shade of red was also detected at Chanel, Hermès, Maison Margiela, Miu Miu, and Versace. For a passionate spring update, fiery red was paired with soft pink in streetwear at Rick Owens and Stella McCartney. It was also used in vibrating prints and color blocking at Etro.

Hot Bubblegum Pink

Much to the pleasure of fictional fashion figures like Regina George, Sharpay Evans, and Elle Woods, pink stood as one of the most leading color trends for spring 2021. While the color has long been associated with femininity, it’s taken on a timely new character, offering a rather much-needed mood boost. This spring, exchange your medium wash jeans for trendy painted acid wash jeans like the fun Fuschia pair displayed at Chanel.

Miu Miu, Rick Owens, Isabel Marant, and Rodarte ranged from pale peach to rich raspberry. It was no wonder that an eye-catching hot pink remained a favorite color for designers like Tom Ford and Versace. After periods of neon-filled runways, Balmain and Valentino let the bold shade discourse for themselves with stand-alone shirt dresses and power suits.

The Conclusion

In the end, we mostly saw a set of vibrant, saturated tones that inherently feel uplifting. Still, we also shouldn’t forget the strong presence of comforting neutrals and playful combinations of multiple hues.
